I remember watching the movie in theaters when I was eight. I actually liked it, and wanted to see it again.

It wasn't until years later that I found that everyone hated it. I was surprised, but then, for a while, I began to blindly hate it just to agree with everyone else. (Hence all my comments about not being fond of it.)

THEN I recently read :iconduckyworth:'s review, and he and :icondisneycow82: taught me that I should judge a movie myself, not by what the snobby critics think.

Now that I think about it, people rarely go into specifics about WHY they hate the movie, and when they do, it's usually for petty and hypocritical reasons. Yes, it had an annoying cow voiced by Rosanne Barr, who makes some pretty painful jokes. (Most notably "Yeah, they're real, quit staring.")

But that alone is not enough to ruin a movie. It had nice animation, nice music (by our good friend Alan Menkin), fun and memorable characters, AND a funny villain. I think it would be accepted had it come out in the 50s-70s.

I might even start using it in my spoofs. (Maybe I'll have Mrs. Calloway as Ms. Harshwinny in my MLP spoof, if I do any episodes with her in them.)

I know it may seem like everyone hated it, but there were also people that loved it. The same can be said for when the first Cars movie appeared; like HOTR, it got the same reception it did not deserve at all from those snotty critic know-it-alls who act like they're kings of the world to tell people what is good or bad for them. We should never let someone else pressure us into ever hating someone or something just to feel like everyone else, because life is too short for such a thing. If we did that, we might as well never find our real inspiration or forget the true meaning of what these Disney films are supposed to bring to us. Now I continue with my own HOTR fanart and fanfictions without any fear of what other strangers think.

Maggie is not annoying to me, I thought she was funny, sweet, and a big kid at heart who knows how to make someone smile through a bad situation. Plus no difficult situation could stop her from trying to do something to save Patch of Heaven. That "they're real, quit staring" is nothing to be concerned about because I already know that cows have udders and so should everyone else. Milk has to come from somewhere. I'd love to be her friend and so would other users. If you want to hear something else, parents freak out stupidly over a character being gay in ParaNorman. Talk about being homophobic. As for Grace, she was my absolute favorite because of her peace loving personality, naïve, shy, and ditzy. Calloway reminded me of past Disney characters like Alice and Mary Poppins. SO what is there to hate about that? Nothing in truth. I can tolerate HOTR and Cars more than the reality garbage shows on television today.

Thanks for mentioning me here, I really appreciate it. :)
